Joshua L. Washington ◆ Organizational Psychologist, Founder

Hi, I'm Joshua Washington.

I founded Lee Malveaux on one conviction: when you maximize the strategic value within your people, you maximize the value of your company.

The founding conviction

The name Lee Malveaux carries a legacy.

When my grandmother Margaret, a woman of extraordinary wisdom, compassion, and leadership, passed away in 2016, she left me with more than grief. She left me with a conviction: that when you truly invest in people, the results compound in ways that outlast any strategy or system.

Lee Malveaux is built on that conviction. People first, not as a platitude, but as an operating philosophy. When you identify the strategic value within your people and build the work around them, performance becomes predictable, culture becomes an asset, and growth stops feeling like a struggle.

2018
Where the methodology was forged

Leaders of multi-million-dollar enterprises, alongside the most disciplined minds in medicine.

My career reached a defining chapter working for one of the largest healthcare organizations in America, a complex, high-stakes environment where I coached and trained leaders of multi-million-dollar enterprises.

This is where I developed the diagnostic instincts that became the foundation of the Mission-Critical Performance Method. In an environment where misalignment between leadership behavior and organizational priority was not a theoretical problem but a patient-safety problem, I learned to see human performance at the organizational level with the precision the stakes demanded.

2020
The clarity that crisis creates

The pandemic forced every organization to confront one question: what is actually essential?

It stripped away the structures that had been masking misalignment, surfaced the leaders who could lead through ambiguity, and clarified, in the most demanding way possible, that people strategy is not a nice-to-have. It is the foundation of organizational resilience.

During this period I focused on helping small and mid-sized businesses compete with limited resources. The lesson was consistent: the organizations that survived and grew were not the ones with the best technology or the deepest pockets. They were the ones with the clearest alignment between their mission, their people, and their execution.

Today
An expanding platform for Mission-Critical Performance

Built, tested, and producing results.

Lee Malveaux today is a certified minority-owned organizational psychology firm serving leadership teams, executive teams, growth-stage companies, and PE-backed organizations across industries.

The Mission-Critical Performance Method is built, tested, and producing results, and the ValueMax platform keeps that work running after we leave. The conviction that started everything remains unchanged: your people are your greatest strategic asset. The question is whether your organization is designed to prove it.

Every engagement begins with diagnosis
